Dash mount safety tether switch for racing snowmobiles. Universal tether switch fit's all Vintage snowmobiles with cdi ignitions. Required for competition to prevent run away if operator falls off. Normally closed switch is in run position when the cap and tether are attached. Switch opens to cut power to CDI type ignition and kill the engine if tether is pulled. Vintage style dash mount used on nearly all models of Vintage Racing snowmobiles from the mid 60's to the early 70's, including Polaris, Scorpion, Rupp and many others. Universal, can be used on any CDI type ignition. Note: Not for use with Magneto ignitions.
