Dash mount safety tether switch for racing snowmobiles. Universal tether switch fit's all Vintage snowmobiles with magneto ignitions. Required for competition to prevent run away if operator falls off. Normally open switch is in run position when the cap and tether are attached. Switch closes to short out magneto type ignition and kill the engine if tether is pulled. Vintage style dash mount used on nearly all models of Vintage Racing snowmobiles from the mid 60's to the early 70's, including Polaris, Scorpion, Rupp and many others. Universal, can be used on any magneto type ignition. Color of moisture cover on back of switch may vary as seen in the pictures. Note: Not for use with CDI ignitions.
